Keep it up, Don't give up!

Visited a friend on last Thursday. Actually is a former classmate. But to be frank, we never talked more than 20 sentences in 4 years in the same class. the person is Jagsham, an Indian friend.

Quite happy to see him recover from cancer, now everything is OK after a year-long kemotherapy, it must be torturing, through everyone imagination. Cheers for him...

Let's continue our life with full of kindness and happiness. No matter how unlucky you're now, or facing downfall, PLEASE don't give up your life. Tomorrow is still coming...

Dear Mr Samy

I recalled the time when i wrote essay or just build simple sentences for my primary school homeworks.

Often, no matter in what languages (BC,BM or BI), when coming to write a story, i started with:" One day, Ah Meng,Ali and Samy....." My emphasize is on the name Samy, as a symbolised name for Indian community. There are a lot of indian friends named Samy in this country, but their fortune are rather in great different. There are some holding high post in the government, there are some offered to contribute in commercialise private sectors with high pay. However i am very sure that there a lot, and a lot more with the same name living nowhere except in the rubber estates, which their salary are well known for everyone of us, struggling with basic needs like clean water supply, electricity and hygiene factors.

Maybe someone gotta lend them a pair of hands to upgrade their living standards, as our country is trying very hard to shorthen the gap between the rich and the poor.

A right move with Menteri Besar!!!

The latest statistic shows that there is an estimation of i billion population in India, there is 32 ministers in the council, also known as cabinet in malaysia.

However our country's population is only their 3%, and yet we have 34 members in our cabinet. And yet there are lots of complaints everyday concerning the efficiency of governing departments.

Quite admire the Menteri Besar of Selangor, Dr. Khir who implemented an award named "Broom Award", to the dissatisfactory government agencies, to "appreciate" their performance for the past whole year. However there are sounds on negative side to the accomplishment of the award. One of the interesting complaints is it brings "Sial". Well stepping into the 21st century many years ago, there are still minority of them talking about "Sial". Is that funny? A broom is clean, so we can use it to clean the house. If it is dirty, who dare to hold it? I wonder which house can exist without the usage of this "sial" thing. My house got 3, for different areas.

Obviously, Dr. Khir's motive is trying to motivate the staff to show their brilliant performance for the next period, and to gain confidence from tax payers. It's easy to understand why Dr.Khir using this method. If the staff can listen to the orders to work hard previously, it is rather better to use a carrot than the cane(Broom Award).

I strongly support Dr. Khir for his positive action by sponsoring brooms for the award next year!

Kevin Rudd, a role model for politicians to follow

Try to communicate, try to understand, try to participate, at least try to know the culture of our friends.

That's a interesting story about Kevin Rudd to share ,the new appointed and elected Prime Minister of Australia, he knows chinese language. Why interesting? Many of non-Chinese worldwide may be able to say a few words in Mandarin. However, the critical part is, he is a politician. Master in Mandarin, broke into fluent sentences and even cracked a joke during the public speaking in Beijing, studied ancient history of China, Rudd obviously worked hard along his path towards ministry.

To view from the prospect of politics, if he spreading sweats and tears for years to study Mandarin in the motive to win over the 3% votes of Chinese people in Australia, that's not worth. The cost is rather too high. Therefore, the learning of chinese language is not a political weapon. To me, he learns mandarin, is a motive to deepen his knowledge and the culture of the largest population of the world. By broadening his mindset, the new elected prime minister, may be able to think big for his future. Not only for his own politic route, but also a change for every Australian to learn something from their cabinet leader.

Let's keep our view in our lovely country. Sometimes i observe that when a minister or a YB in other races speak one or two words in Mandarin, like "da jia hao", "xie xie ni", and the famous "gong xi fa chai", we may be joyous to hear that. Maybe the VIP just simply learn the pronounsations of the few words on their journey to attend a public function or what, thinking that those few words may catch the people's mind, or to show some respect to their friends in other races. I was glad to hear those words, but that is before i know Kevin Michael Rudd...

There is only 3% of chinese people in Australia, very minor compared to our country, which contributed a lot before and after the independence. After 50 years of independence, any of non-Chinese sitting in the ministry, can speak like Rudd?

Lover's Concerto

How gentle is the rain
that falls softly on the meadow
birds high up on the trees
serenade the clouds
with the melody

See there beyond the hills
the bright colours of the rainbow
Some magic from above
made this day for us
Just to fall in love

You hold me in your arms
and say once again you love me
And if your love is true
Everything will be just as wonderful

Now i belong to you
from this day until forever
Just love me tenderly
and i'll give to you
every part of me

Don't ever make me cry
through long lonely nights without love
Be always true to me
Keep this day in your heart eternally

You hold me in your arms
and say once again you love me
And if your love is true
Everything will be just as wonderful

This is a nice song! Well, recall when listened to the 1st time, probably when i was still a Form2 innocent boy, this theme leave a memory in my mind...

In fact, no point for me to deny, i am not a computer literate. Thanks my sister, Yee Leng, to the birth of this blog. Once again to emphasize, this blog is created for my own sake, and for any passers-by who wish to leave your comments here. Hope the contents never, and never, create any problems to my lovely 23m fellow Malaysians, and 6.6b residents of the world currently. I like to write, of course to write what i observe and think around the issues related to our daily life. It may not be absolute correct, and maybe just an opinion, from a member of you... Cheers for my first step...
